Our Story

Hello, 

We are pleased you have discovered our online presence.  Let’s take you through the incredible journey of our church, a journey that stretches from the sunny shores of San Diego California, all the way to warm and welcoming West Midlands. 

Our story began in 2020 with a whisper and much prayer from members of Coastlands Community Church in San Diego, CA. Unbeknownst to us then, people from Regions Beyond’s church planting network began praying about planting churches in Birmingham and the surrounding areas. 

By the end of 2020, Coral and Racquel from San Diego met the Regions Beyond group and began meeting together on ZOOM to pray for Birmingham collectively. Those meetings set the groundwork for a small movement of connected individuals who planned to plant multiple churches in Birmingham and Beyond. 

In November 2021, Christ Church was planted in South Aston. Christ Chuch Birmingham would serve as a launching pad for several new churches in the Birmingham region. One of those churches would be Redemption Hill led by Coral and Racquel Cook from San Diego, CA.

Since October of 2023, we have met for evening dinners in the Delves building fortnightly. As of March, we are currently meeting together weekly every Sunday at 10:30 am. It is our prayer and hope that we can show the love and truth of Jesus in a way that honours God but is also understood by people in our community.
